Arcadia EarthPro Custodian Fuel, 80g

Arcadia EarthPro Custodian Fuel is an easy to use, potent food for springtails and other custodians including isopods and roaches and for insect gutloading. It has also been pelleted for ease of use.

By accurately feeding our custodians we encourage them to multiply and to become a source of positive nutrition themselves.

In bioactive systems, custodians are used to clean up the waste from the enclosure. Of course we as keepers still need to spot check regularly for faeces and uneaten food and the frequency of this will depend on the species and the size of the enclosure, but custodians help to break down any organic matter.

Your clean-up-crew can survive on this as a food source alone, but in order to make sure that they thrive and do their job better, it is important to feed them.

Nothing is more potent or easy to use when it comes to feeding Custodians.

Arcadia EarthPro Custodian Fuel is simply pressed out of sight into the substrate where it will break down and become a ‘nutrient rich soup’ from which invertebrates can feed.

For those small species, including dart frogs and recently metamorphosed frogs and toads, springtails are also an excellent food source.

For other reptiles, including leopard geckos and young bearded dragons or bosc monitors to name a few, the larger custodians are also a supply of food.

When consumed custodians become a welcome addition to a varied reptile or amphibian diet. As such, CustodianFuel can also be thought of as an insect gutloading food, as it will boost the nutritious quality of these invertebrates.
