Delivery charges

At Serpentia Reptile Supplies we offer clear transparent pricing and so all products are delivered FREE with standard delivery (3-5 Working Days)

The price you see on our product pages is the price you pay and there are no surprises waiting for you at checkout!

We despatch Monday to Saturday excluding bank holidays and for orders received before 1.00pm we aim to despatch the same day.

Royal Mail is our preferred carrier and they deliver anywhere in the UK with a valid post code.

Larger heavier and bulky items will be delivered by EVRI, UPS or ParcelForce.

Depending upon your location and order contents we may elect to ship your order from stock that we hold in many of the Amazon fulfilment centres located around the UK.  If we do utilise this shipping method we will contact you to let you know.

Courier costs and delivery to offshore and remote locations may be affected so if your location is affected we will let you know.

Express Delivery Options

We know that sometimes you would like to receive your order faster and so we do offer an Express Delivery Option (1-2 Working Days After Day Of Order/Day Of Despatch) which you can select during the checkout process.  The price for Express Delivery will be calculated based upon your location and the contents of your basket.  

For orders we receive before 1.00 pm Monday to Friday we will ship the same day with most orders then being delivered next working day although this is not a guaranteed service.

If you place your order after 1.00 pm Monday To Thursday then we may ship the next working day.  

For orders received after 1.00 pm on a Friday or are that are placed on a Saturday or Sunday we will ship before 1.00pm on Monday.

Express Delivery To The Following Post Codes Is Not Available And Wont Be Offered At Checkout. Sorry!

Not going to be home?

Unattended parcels 

If your parcel will not fit through a standard sized letterbox it will be shipped via the appropriate delivery companies tracked and signed for service. 

We are unable to agree to leave parcels unattended and unsecured in areas specified by you (including bins, sheds etc)

Should you ask the courier to leave your parcel in an unsecure place then you assume liability and responsibility for that parcel.

Not going to be home?

If your parcel is being delivered by Royal Mail then you will be able to rearrange delivery with Royal Mail at a convenient time or collect in person from your local Royal Mail Pick up Point / Sorting Office.  ID will be required for you to collect in person.

If you parcel is being delivered via EVRI or UPS you are able to specify delivery to a nominated neighbour via the couriers in-flight tracking options on their websites.  Simply follow the tracking  link that we provide you via email upon shipping your order and follow the delivery companies instructions for your delivery options.

delivery - animals

We only deliver our animals by personal door to door delivery.  Delivery charges will depend upon your location but will range between £25-£45

We will agree a delivery charge as part of or discussions when you wish to buy any of our animals.

We will not use 3rd party reptile couriers to deliver our animals.

A personal and direct door to door delivery is the only option we will consider as this is for the benefit of the animals welfare.

We hold our own DEFRA animal transportation licence so are able to deliver our animals legally.


Our delivery charges apply to UK mainland residential delivery only.

We may elect to not ship large or bulky items that cannot be shipped via standard Royal Mail services to Island, offshore or remote locations.  If your order is affected by this policy we will inform you via email, cancel and refund your order.  If you live in a location that may be affected please feel free to check with us before placing your order.

We do not accept orders from anywhere outside of the UK on this website.

We do not deliver to Freight Forwarding companies.  If you do not have a UK residential delivery address and place and order to a commercial freight forwarding company and address your order will be cancelled and we will advise you accordingly.

30 Day returns

Let’s make this as simple and hassle free as we can.

Our aim is that all our products reach you in perfect condition and for you to be happy with your purchase.

If you’re disappointed in any way we would like to know, so make sure you contact us if this is the case and we will do our upmost to resolve this to your satisfaction without any fuss.

Providing you are not purchasing for a business you have the right under Distance Selling Regulations to cancel the contract and receive a refund in respect of goods purchased that are not perishable (Examples of which are Reptile/Fish/Animal food items) or that have been customised.

You need to do this within 30 days from the day after you receive your goods and you need to do this in writing which you can do by completing the form at the bottom of this page or using the chat function located at the bottom right of each page on our website and we will get right back to you.

Following notification you must return your order in full and the return is made at your own risk and cost. We strongly advise you use a fully trackable delivery service for your returned orders.

Before you return the goods you should understand that you have a legal obligation to keep the goods that are in your possession in good order and take reasonable care of them.

If you do not do this we may have a claim against you for compensation.

Products must be returned to us unused and undamaged by you and along with the original manufacturer branded packaging, component parts and instructions as applicable.

Please ensure that you return your products in packaging that provides the same level of protection during transit as you originally received from us. 

If returned products are received in improper packaging and damage has occurred in transit due to your lack of care we may not accept your parcel delivery and ask the carrier to return it back to you.

If you exercise your right to cancel your contract in this way we will refund any payment you made when ordering including our original delivery charges if applicable, but excluding any premium / express delivery cost options chosen by you when you ordered.

We will do this within 30 days of receipt of your notification to us confirming you are exercising your right to cancel and upon us receiving the product back from you and inspecting it in accordance with the conditions above.
